Johannes Lorenz Berg is a scientist with a keen interest in the cell–cell interactions in the extracellular matrix and intracellular signaling in pulmonary vascular diseases. He has established advanced primary cell and ex vivo culturing systems of pulmonary hypertension to understand the formation of matrikines and the interactions with their receptors, which influence pivotal cellular processes during vascular remodeling.
