Elisabeth Taucher is a pulmonologist who currently works on a project, investigating the role of a clinically supervised exercise program on the immune function in patients with non-small-cell and small-cell lung cancer. The primary outcome parameter would be the immune reaction upon exercise, since the cytokine response and properties of leukocyte subsets resulting from exercise are likely to improve antitumor immunity. In addition, Elisabeth works on a project investigating NMR metabolomics in lung fibrosis tissue versus healthy controls.
